Muscovites will be able to purchase an apartment at a discount not only during the renovation of their houses, but also within two years after moving to equivalent housing.

The procedure for purchasing apartments of larger area and/or with big amount rooms were approved by the Moscow Government during the implementation of the renovation program. The resolution was adopted in accordance with Article 7.3 of the Law Russian Federation"On the status of the capital of the Russian Federation."

“We are talking about additional square meters, when people want to either purchase an additional apartment or expand the area of ​​the apartment provided, about the total volume of discounts and the procedure for their provision. Muscovites will purchase such residential premises under an agreement with the renovation fund. Apartment owners will be offered to conclude exchange agreements with an additional payment, and tenants will be offered purchase and sale agreements.

“It is assumed that the average area of ​​an equivalent apartment in the building into which the resident is moving will be subtracted from the area of ​​the purchased apartment. In this way, the number of meters for which a citizen will have to pay extra will be determined, while the cost of one square meter with an additional payment will be the market price. For these purposes, an independent appraiser will be involved. The amount of the surcharge is calculated as the product of the number of additional meters purchased and the cost of one square meter minus a discount of 10 percent,” noted Marat Khusnullin.

You can pay extra at your own expense or credit funds, maternal (family) capital, housing subsidies and government housing certificates, as well as other sources not prohibited by Russian legislation.

Citizens will be allowed to take advantage of the right to purchase an apartment at a discount not only during the renovation of their houses, but also within two years after moving to an equivalent apartment.

Example. Under the renovation program, the family received an equivalent apartment. Ownership of it was registered on February 1, 2019. Until February 1, 2021, this family can purchase another apartment at a discount from the renovation fund or the Moscow Government.
