The personal account is the client’s management center for his financial assets. Login to the account is carried out remotely using a computer and login identifiers - login and password. A login and password for entering is usually issued to a client of a financial organization when opening a financial product at a bank: an account, deposit, loan or bank card.

To enter your personal account, you must go to the official website of the bank at https://www.otpbank.ru/ and in the upper right corner click the “Internet Banking” button. The system will redirect you to the login page to your personal account, where you must enter your username and password received during registration and click the “Login” button.

Login to login to OTP Bank- this is the number of your banking service agreement or card number in 16-digit format. A temporary password for the first login to your personal account is sent to your phone via SMS.

If the data is entered correctly, the system will redirect you to the main page of your OTP Direct personal account. We advise you to immediately change your temporary login password when logging into Internet Banking for the first time ( it is valid only for 3 months from the date of receipt of the SMS!) permanently for safety reasons.

Be careful when entering your username and password! The client is given three attempts to log into the Internet bank! After the 3rd unsuccessful login attempt, your login will be blocked and access can only be restored by calling the hotline or during a personal visit to a branch of a financial institution.

OTP Direct is a convenient way to remotely manage your accounts and cards.

You will see a page with a user-friendly interface, where all functions are divided into tabs for convenience:

  1. My products (your cards, loans, deposits and accounts)
  2. Opening a deposit (opening a deposit online)
  3. Special offers (personal offers from the bank)
  4. Settings (personal account and account login security settings)

To connect your OTP Direct personal account, you need to become a client of the bank. To do this, you may have one of the banking products of a financial institution open.

Registration of a personal account is carried out at any branch of OTP Bank. To do this, you need to write an application to connect to the Internet Banking service, present your passport to the bank employee and wait until you receive a sealed envelope with your login and password.

If you don’t remember whether you registered in the system or not, you can call the bank’s hotline 8-800-100-55-55 and find out if you have been assigned a login. The contact center employee will need to provide passport details and a code word (used when calling the contact center to identify the client).

If you are lucky, the operator will remind you of your login login, and the password will be sent via SMS to the mobile phone specified in the banking service agreement.

There is no subscription fee for using the Internet Banking service.

If you are unable to log into your personal account, we advise you to check the correctness of the entered data: the reason may be an incorrect letter or number, keyboard layout, or the Caps Lock key pressed. After three unsuccessful login attempts, your account is blocked and you must use the password recovery function. To recover the password from your OTP Direct personal account, there are several solutions:

  1. Restoring access by calling the bank's hotline 0707 ( the most convenient and fastest option)
  2. Restoring access to a bank branch
  3. Password recovery on the OTP Bank website ( the function does not work since September 14, 2018 )

Let's look at each of the listed methods in more detail.

Option 1. The password can be recovered by calling the bank’s special phone number 0707 : The contact center employee will need to provide your passport details, card number and code word. After checking the data and establishing your identity, a one-time password will be sent to your phone to log into the online banking system.

Option 2. The easiest way to get a new personal account password is a personal visit to an OTP Bank branch. You must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with you. Upon arrival at the branch, you must ask the employee to give you an application form to restore access to the OTP Direct Internet Banking service. Once your application is accepted, you will be given a new temporary login password.

Option 3 (not working method). Password recovery on the bank's website. To restore access to the OTP Direct system, go to the login page to your personal account at https://direkt.otpbank.ru/ and click the "Forgot your password?" button. The system will redirect you to the access restoration page, where you must enter the code word and card number in 16-digit format. Mobile application OTP Bank

OTP Bank has a mobile version of its personal account - this is the OTP Direct mobile application. The application replaces all those familiar functions that are available in the personal account of a bank client. The mobile application is provided free of charge and is available for users of mobile devices based on iOS and Android.

To log into the mobile application, use the login and password received when registering the OTP Direct service. After logging into the application for the first time, you can set up subsequent logins using a 4-digit digital password.

The history of the Russian OTP Bank begins with the creation in March 1994 of the Hermes savings bank, which at that time was part of the concern of the same name. Later, the bank was transformed into JSCB "Bank of Investments and Savings" (abbreviated as Investsberbank). In February 2005, the merger of Investsberbank with the capital's Russian General Bank () was completed on the initiative of the latter's shareholders (co-owners of the Novorossiysk sea trade port Alexander Ponomarenko and Alexander Skorobogatko). It was believed that Investsberbank had a more recognizable brand in the private deposit market, so the merger of banks took place on its basis, and the RSL license was revoked. The size of the transaction was then estimated at 800 thousand US dollars. In August 2006, the bank also annexed Omsk and Novorossiysk (see “Book of Memory”), which were transformed into the Omsk and Novorossiysk branches, respectively. In October 2006, the Hungarian OTP Bank* completed the acquisition of a 96.4% stake in Investsberbank for $477 million. In 2008, Investsberbank switched to the parent brand and was renamed OTP Bank.

As of November 12, 2018, the Hungarian OTP Bank controls 97.90% of the shares of the Russian credit institution, and a further 1.20% stake is owned by the Hungarian closed joint-stock company for investment and property management MFB Invest. The remaining shares (less than 0.9%) are distributed among other minority shareholders.

The head office of the credit institution is located in Moscow, and in general the financial institution is present in more than 3,700 settlements of the Russian Federation. The bank's sales network includes six branches (St. Petersburg, Omsk, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Gukovo in the Rostov region, Khabarovsk), 143.6 thousand consumer lending points, 96 credit and cash offices, 134 customer service points. During 2017, in order to optimize operating costs, the bank closed six representative offices in the Russian Federation. Its own network of ATMs includes about 195 devices, service terminals - 269 devices. The registered number of bank employees as of January 1, 2018 was 1,487 people (a year earlier - 1,520 people).

The financial institution's private clients are offered a standard range of banking products and services, primarily deposits, cash and card loans, consumer loans in stores, and car loans. The bank's partners are such retail outlets and networks as the digital supermarket DNS, Svyaznoy, Euroset, Megafon, Expert, Beeline, Media Markt, Lazurit, Mnogo Mebeli, jewelry chain 585, Moskovsky Jewelry Factory", "Adamas", "Aleph", "Snow Queen", "Know-How", "Citylink", "M. video" etc. The bank's products for individuals also include MasterCard (credit, debit, with interest on the balance) and Mir systems, money transfers (Western Union, Zolotaya Korona), safe rental, voluntary insurance programs, account servicing, etc.

The bank's services and products for corporate clients include settlement and cash services, placement of funds on deposits and bills, lending and issuance of guarantees, payroll projects, remote services, support for export-import transactions, factoring, trade financing.

In total, the bank serves more than 3.9 million clients - legal entities and individuals. In the corporate segment, the bank primarily lends to borrowers engaged in trade, construction, real estate transactions, finance and operating leases. Among the bank's clients were such organizations as JSC "Domestic Medicines", PJSC "Rusgrain Holding", LLC "Element Leasing", LLC "MFO "Pedshekhod", OJSC "Melnitsa", PJSC "Impulse", PJSC "Saratovenergo", PJSC Rostelecom, JSC Pharmadis, JSC Ezra, etc.

In the first 10 months of 2018, the net assets of the credit institution increased by 5.2%, amounting to 148.9 billion rubles by November 1, 2018. The growth in liabilities over this period was ensured by client funds (equally retail and corporate clients) and equity capital. In assets, liquidity was directed primarily to the interbank lending market and lending to corporate clients. At the same time, in addition to attracting liabilities, the bank also received a significant part of the funds from the sale of 40% of the bond portfolio in assets.

The structure of the credit institution's liabilities is poorly diversified by sources of attraction and is characterized by an increased dependence on funds from individuals, whose share as of the reporting date amounted to 41.7% of the total liabilities. The second largest source of resources were funds from corporate clients (balances on current accounts and deposits of various maturities) with a share of 21.9% of liabilities. Almost the same amount was formed by the bank’s own capital, the adequacy of which was more than twice the minimum established level according to the N1.0 standard. The activity of the bank's client base is low due to its specialization in retail lending, but stable: turnover on current/current accounts of clients in the last months of the study period amounted to 150-180 billion rubles.

The main volume of the credit institution's assets falls on the loan portfolio item, which at the reporting date formed 61.6% of net assets. Issued interbank loans accounted for 20.7%, highly liquid funds (mainly balances in a correspondent account with the Central Bank) - 4.7%, and other assets accounted for another 7.2%.

Since the beginning of 2018, the total volume of the loan portfolio has increased slightly (+3.8%). The main share in its composition is occupied by loans provided to individuals - 80.9%. A significant portion of loans (both retail and corporate) are issued for terms from one to three years, and an impressive volume of retail loans are in the form of overdrafts. During the analyzed period, the level of overdue debt in the total portfolio decreased slightly, but remains quite noticeable - 13.2%. The provisioning level for the loan portfolio is 19.3%, which fully covers the amount of overdue debt. The level of collateral for the loan portfolio with property collateral due to specialization in retail lending is traditionally low and amounted to 20.6% as of the reporting date (a year earlier - 14.6%).

The credit institution is moderately active in the interbank lending market, regularly working in both directions. Since the beginning of 2018, monthly turnover on placed interbank loans amounted to 25-132 billion rubles, on attracted loans - 10-45 billion rubles. The financial institution is also moderately active in the foreign exchange market; turnover on conversion operations for the period since the beginning of 2018 amounted to 100-300 billion rubles.

According to RAS reporting data, in the first ten months of 2018, the credit institution received a net profit of 2.8 billion rubles (the same amount in the same period a year earlier).

How long does it take to wait for operators to respond?

The OTP bank call center is not so overloaded that users wait 20-30 minutes for an operator to answer them. The usual response time rarely exceeds 1-1.5 minutes. In some cases, delays from 3 to 10 minutes are possible. This happens most often during rush hour. This period lasts daily from 16:00 to 20:00. This often happens on Fridays until late in the evening.

Disadvantages of the OTP contact center

When calling the OTP Bank hotline and subsequently connecting with an operator, the system does not inform the client of the approximate waiting time, stating only that the first available operator will answer the phone call. In most other banks, the client is informed of at least the approximate waiting time for an employee’s response, and this is much more convenient.

The biggest disadvantage of the OTP bank hotline is that the client will not be able to return to the previous menu by pressing any key (# or * in other banks). This is simply not provided for in the OTP Bank voice menu.
If the client makes a mistake and selects the wrong button, he will have to make a second call, or wait for an automatic connection with the operator, which will happen if he does not select any of the categories 2 times in a row.
