Window openings originally distinguish the HMS-1 series. The facades are equipped with twin single-leaf and standard double-leaf windows. Single-leaf windows in HMS-1 houses, if possible, are installed with maximum dimensions to increase the glass area. Option with two narrow windows in the room - reduces natural light.

Houses are able to withstand various types of earthquakes, and are also protected from a chain reaction, that is, one section will collapse, then the rest will remain in place. The construction of the series has been going on since 2003 to the present.

The color scheme of the external walls is varied: white, beige, brown, turquoise, yellow, orange, pink. The number of floors varies from 9 to 18. The first floor is not residential. The number of entrances is from 1 or more. Each entrance has elevators: one passenger with a carrying capacity of 400 kg. And one cargo-passenger with a carrying capacity of 630kg. The number of apartments on the floor is 4, but sometimes it is also 3. In one-room apartments, the living area is 17-19m², the kitchen is 9-10m²; in two-room living room 29-43 m², kitchen 9-11 m²; in three-room apartment 40-61 m², kitchen 9-12 m²; in four-room apartment 64-72 m², kitchen 11-12 m². Many apartments have dark rooms / storage rooms.

Advantages: premises for concierges, there are ramps for people with limited mobility, spacious halls, switchboards. There are balconies in all apartments, except for those located on the ground floors. Bathrooms are conveniently designed, they do not adjoin the walls of neighboring apartments. Disadvantages: Narrow corridors in many apartments, limited possibility of redevelopment of apartments due to the presence of a large number of load-bearing walls in apartments.

Panel house series HMS-2001 is not included in the list of demolished, the probability of demolition, even in the long term, is small.

Typical residential buildings of the HMS-1 series are built from a standard set of building elements, which are called "MS-1", which allow you to design each residential building, taking into account the available area, relief, erect houses with numerous entrances, or vice versa, tower-type buildings with one the only entrance. Among other things, in the house HMS-1, the layouts of the entrances provide premises for the concierge service and ramps for the disabled. Outwardly, these houses are recognizable by paired narrow windows, which is typical only for this series of panels' texture.

The thickness of the internal walls and ceilings of the HMS-1 house (180 mm and 160 mm) provide the required level of sound insulation, and the construction of the external walls in combination with modern variable window blocks, the thickness of which is 128 mm, provides an excellent level of thermal insulation. It is also worth mentioning the high manufacturability of the HMS-1 series: design solutions ensure reliable stability of the house both from a possible earthquake and from a chain collapse (when one section begins to collapse in a building, and all the others collapse behind it).

In the houses of the HMS-1 series, the layout of the apartments provides for glazed balconies. Separate bathrooms, with the exception of one-room apartments in municipal sections.
